In an emergency, who do I contact?

If the emergency involves a danger to you or others dial 111, ask for the service required and advise them of the emergency. As soon as possible following notification of the emergency you must contact your coordinator or phone Healthvision.

If I am not available at the time arranged for my appointment, who do I contact?

Contact your coordinator or nurse if you know their number or phone the office on 522 5012, or 0508 733 377 if outside the Auckland free calling area.

Who should I call if my carer does not arrive?

Contact your coordinator on their direct dial or phone the office on 522 5012, or 0508 733 377 if outside the Auckland free calling area.

Will I get the same nurse or caregiver each time they visit?

We respect your need for consistency and our policy is for the same person to attend to your needs. However there may be times, for example sickness or holidays, when your usual person is unavailable. You will always be advised in advance if there is a change proposed.

Can I choose the time that my support person comes to me?

You may request a preference and we will make every effort to meet your request however there may be times when it is not possible and we would offer alternative times.

Do you provide care on weekends?

Yes, if you need to be seen at the weekend a nurse or caregiver will visit.

Do you provide care on Public Holidays?

If you need to be provided with treatment or support on a Public Holiday this will be provided, however if a change is proposed, you will be advised in advance.

Can the Community Nurse visit my child at school?

If I have been assessed as needing special equipment that does not arrive or I am unable to assemble it, who should I contact?

If you are an ACC approved client you should contact your ACC Case Manager, otherwise call Healthvision.

Who should I contact if I am unable to install the equipment provided?

If you are an ACC approved client you should contact your ACC Case Manager, otherwise contact your Healthvision coordinator.

Who should I contact if my care has ended but I still need support?

If you are an ACC approved client you should contact your ACC Case Manager, otherwise contact your Healthvision Coordinator.
