New Zealand’s largest disability sporting event, proudly sponsored by Healthvision
The Healthvision Festival of Disability Sport is a dynamic two-day event that brings together physically disabled athletes from across the nation. It features multiple sports codes over one weekend and fun HAVE-A-GO sessions across various codes for youth, whānau, and low-vision athletes. Whether you participate or spectate, it promises to be an event filled with high-energy fun! Entry is FREE!
Who can participate
Anyone with a physical disability, including low-vision and hearing impairments, along with their whanau, friends, and supporters. The HAVE-A-GO sessions are fully inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.

The Festival Play Sessions are on Saturday and Sunday. Jo from Parafed Bay of Plenty who currently delivers the FLIPA programme into schools, will host the FLIPA program at Court 7 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on both days. There will be fun games set up, including oversize Jenga and Connect 4.

Come along and HAVE-A-GO at a variety of different activities. Blind Sport NZ will adapt games for low vision participants. Participants without visual impairment are encouraged to join by wearing blindfolds to experience the games. • Wish4Fish will provide information about booking free fishing charters for people with disabilities.
• Healthvision’s physiotherapy and massage therapy services will be available at the stadium over the two days.
• Tauranga City Council will showcase the Trailrider.
• Hibiscus Surf School will provide information on their Adaptive Surf Programmes.
• Next Step Gym will be available in Court 8 with equipment and information in the Foyer.
