Occupational Therapy
Healthvision’s occupational therapists promote health and wellbeing through occupation. They work with people and communities to enable participation in activities of everyday life. Occupational Therapy enhances a person's engagement in activities they want to, need to, or are expected to do by modifying the occupation or the environment and restoring health to one's activities. ‘Occupation’ is everything people do to occupy themselves. This may include looking after themselves or others, enjoying life, and contributing to their communities.
Social Work
Healthvision’s registered social workers work with individuals, families, and communities to restore and strengthen emotional and social wellbeing. They assist in strengthening a person’s ability to address and manage challenges and difficulties experienced in situations where circumstances are not easily changed. They can also assist in crisis management and adapting to uncertainty, loss, fear, feelings of isolation, and anxiety. They are able to help people consider options, access resources, understand their rights, and generally improve their lives.
Dietitian
A dietitian is a registered health professional helping you to improve your health and lifestyle through optimal nutrition. They provide scientifically-based, practical and effective strategies to assist with your food and nutrition needs. Healthvision’s dietitians will consult with you about your wellness, health, and nutrition goals.
